White Pine Renewables partnered with the City of Fresno and local community members to build a 13.478 MWdc solar array on city-owned land. The project is the first Disadvantaged Community Solar Project to be turned on in the state of California and is also larger than any other planned Disadvantaged Community projects as of December 2024. The project provides 20% utility bill discounts to qualified low-income community members in Fresno, and it also delivers a long-term stream of rental income to the City of Fresno, ensuring that it is a win-win for all stakeholders.

White Pine Renewables developed, financed, and managed the build of this 5MW floating solar system at the City of Healdsburg’s wastewater treatment facility as the first major development towards achieving the city’s commendable renewable energy goals. The urgency of the city’s goals was underscored by the devastating 2020 wildfires, and the need to meet the moment led to one of our fastest developments to date and the largest floating solar energy system in the country.
